Kamari beach and ancient Thira

Ahhh, how wonderful it was to wake up to this spectacular view!

Donkeys and mules are part of the native charm of the island, but they do work very hard

The fashionista in action

Our first beach experience in Greece- the black sand of Kamari Beach

Our dinner had teeth

It's all Greek to me...

Climing our way to ancient city of Thira. This hilltop on Thira was first inhabited by the Dorians, whose leader was Theras, in the 9th century BC. Thira was later occupied in the Hellenistic, Roman and Byzantine eras. Most of the buildings that survive today date from the Hellenistic era (around the 4th century BC).

Back at the hotel Katia resumed her favorite activity of relaxing by the pool
