Acropolis at night

I was thrilled to find out that we arrived just in time for a yearly celebration of a full moon. One night a year, more than 90 sites remain open until 1 am. This year, the celebration almost did not take place due to a pay dispute with security guards for the nighttime work. But the guards' union backed down Monday, one day prior to the event, saying they would donate their wages to charity. I am forever grateful! This was one of the most memorable experiences of my life. Walking around this 2,500 years old temple in the moonlight was unforgettable. Thanks to a Good Samaritan with a tripod I was able to get this shot: no tripod, just my shaky hand: The new Acropolis Museum with an outdoor concert
